Job summary

Enact in Zürich is seeking a mechanical engineer to design the mechanical centerpiece of dexterous manipulation systems, balancing weight, stiffness, precision and cost. You will own the design end-to-end from concept through production, building and testing prototypes and validating with FEM, tolerances, fatigue analysis and lab tests.

You will collaborate with manufacturing partners and with electronics, controls and AI teams to push robotic manipulation forward.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years designing complex mechanical systems.
• Excellent CAD skills with Onshape.
• Experience with FEM and tolerance analysis.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and cost.
• Hands-on rapid prototyping and workshop experience.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical centerpiece of dexterous manipulation systems.
• Own designs end-to-end from concept to production, prototypes, FEM and tests.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
