SLS Barcelona, a five-star urban resort on the waterfront of Port Forum, seeks a Reservations Trainee to assist guests with reservations and advise on options under the Reservations Manager.

You will support market-wide strategy, ensure reservation accuracy across segments and channels, and help maintain rate parity while coordinating with Credit, Sales, Concierge and Front Desk teams.

Qualifications

• You're studying a bachelor’s/master’s degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Ability to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.

Responsabilités

• Help guests with reservations and advise them on the best option for their needs.
• Support and execute market-wide strategy and promotion implementation.
• Ensure reservation accuracy (segment, channel, routing, traces, etc.).
• Maintain rate parity across distribution channels and ensure systems support hotel sales strategies.
• Handle all requests for guest room reservations, changes and cancellations per guidelines.
• Follow up on possible fraudulent reservations to protect revenue performance.
• Upsell following established guidelines.
• Communicate potential system or reservation challenges to provide outstanding service.

Job Description

• We are looking for a Reservations Trainee to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Reservations Manager, you will be responsible for helping our guests with their individual reservations, advising them on the best option for their needs and supporting them with any issue they might have
• Support and execute market-wide strategy and promotion implementation
• Ensure reservation accuracy (segment, channel, routing, traces, etc.)
• Ensure that the hotel sales strategies are effectively implemented in the systems
• Ongoing Revenue System health-checks and optimization
• Handle all requests for guest room reservations, changes and cancellations in according with the established guidelines
• Follow up on any possible fraudulent reservation that may impact the revenue performance
• Ensures reservation accuracy (segment, channel, routings, traces, etc.)
• Handle no shows and control non-guaranteed reservations
• Ensure that all distribution channels effectively support the hotel and maintain rate parity
• Ensure that communication with other departments, especially Credit, Sales, Concierge and Front Desk and any other concerned department is maintained
• Support and execute upselling following the established guidelines
• Proactively communicates any potential challenges related to systems or reservations to ensure we provide outstanding intuitive service at all times

Qualifications

• You´re studying a bachelor´s/master´s degree in hospitality or a related field
• You have the possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English
