Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking a Middle Software Engineer to drive core backend work on a mission-critical content platform powering e-commerce and ad tech. You will own services, enable AI-assisted delivery, and contribute to production excellence in a fully remote, international team.

The role emphasizes end-to-end feature delivery, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices, with a strong focus on reliability and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Between two and five years of professional backend or full-stack development experience.
• Proven hands-on experience building, maintaining, and deploying production apps using Ruby on Rails.
• Two to five years of solid experience with relational databases, SQL, and query design.
• Daily practical experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code or comparable tools, including task planning, code generation, reviewing AI-generated output, and validating implementation quality.
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, maintainability, debugging, and production app development.
• Experience writing automated tests, participating in code reviews, and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of delivering reliable, high-quality features to production and taking ownership of performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and deliver effective tech solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English in an international distributed team.
• Proactive, independent working style with ownership and willingness to learn emerging tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, enhance, and develop core backend services within the Content Platform ecosystem.
• Deliver roadmap features end to end from planning to production and maintenance.
• Apply an AI-first development approach to accelerate implementation and improve quality.
• Plan tasks, generate and review code, and validate AI-generated solutions against standards.
• Refactor and improve existing code for maintainability and AI accessibility.
• Support production operations, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to reliability improvements.
• Write and maintain automated tests to prevent regressions and validate changes.
• Participate in peer code reviews and promote clean, well-tested code.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments and faster feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
