World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland, invites applications for a Consultant – Patent Policy Review to support the Legislative and Policy Advice Section in reviewing and streamlining advisory papers on substantive patent law and related technology law. Remote work may be possible subject to requirements.

The assignment spans nine months with potential extension. Candidates should have a strong legal background, seven years of experience, and proven policy

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in law or related field; doctorate advantageous.
• At least seven years of relevant patent law and policy experience.
• Excellent research, analytical and drafting skills; strong written English.

Responsabilités

• Conduct legal, policy and comparative research to review and streamline advisory papers and policy briefs.
• Prepare or revise questionnaires and sample legislative provisions as required.
• Contribute to development of LPAS’s legislative advice procedures, templates and checklists.
