Job summary

Jobgether is partnered with a leading Swiss-based cloud platform seeking a hands-on Lead SRE to own architecture, delivery, and operations for a growing cloud platform on Google Cloud. You will lead a small SRE team, design, automate, and improve observability, security, and cost efficiency while delivering beta-to-GA readiness.

You will collaborate with CTO and security teams, define the technical roadmap, and drive reliable production systems in a fully remote, international environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SRE/platform/infrastructure engineering, with 2+ years guiding a team.
• Production-grade Kubernetes expertise, scale, upgrades, networking, and resource allocation.
• Strong hands-on GCP/GKE experience, IAM, VPC, private clusters, load balancing, managed services.
• Expert Terraform skills with reusable modules and multi-environment state management.
• Ability to define architecture, write specs, evaluate trade-offs, and translate designs into plans.
• Experience coordinating delivery, reviewing implementation, and guiding a small engineering team.
• On-call, incident management, postmortems, reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own target architecture of the managed cloud platform on GCP and dedicated customer environments.
• Define architectural roadmap from Beta to GA balancing isolation, reliability, and cost.
• Write specs, ADRs, and RFCs with clear trade-offs and implementation choices.
• Set SLOs and error budgets to guide engineering priorities.
• Lead a team of three, breaking down plans into actionable work and removing blockers.
• Establish engineering standards for Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitOps.
