Jobgether is seeking a Software Engineer – AI Tooling Infrastructure based in Switzerland. You will build, operate, and scale backend services powering AI-driven developer tools, owning production systems and MCP integrations.

The role emphasizes reliability, security, and observability in a distributed, asynchronous environment. You will design authentication, manage on-call incidents, and collaborate with multiple teams to improve infrastructure, release processes, and security.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years building, deploying, and operating production backend services.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining APIs with versioning, errors, rate limiting, and backward compatibility.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth/OIDC/JWT and API authorization for production environments.
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, containerized deployments, and Infrastructure as Code.

Responsabilités

• Build, deploy, operate, and scale production backend services powering AI tools (MCP servers, agent skills, AI assistants).
• Own service architecture and infrastructure decisions to improve reliability and deployment processes.
• Define and monitor SLOs, track error budgets, and collaborate with SRE teams on improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotation, investigate incidents, and prepare incident reports and runbooks.
• Manage operational support requests and drive long-term engineering improvements.
• Design and maintain authentication systems for AI agents and machine clients, including OAuth apps and tokens.
• Establish observability with metrics, tracing, logging, dashboards, and alerts.
• Manage AI agent traffic with rate limits, capacity controls, and safeguards against spikes.
• Collaborate with Platform, SRE, Authentication, Billing, and Edge Functions teams to improve shared infrastructure and security.
