Zusammenfassung

ETH Zürich’s Strategy & Analytics Group is seeking a Quality of Education Officer to lead the development and institutional anchoring of the Quality of Education Framework. The role spans concept design, cross-department harmonisation, and coordination with external partners and accreditation bodies.

The incumbent will run the 2027 pilot, oversee rollout across 16 departments and central units, and report findings to UTL management and Rectorate.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in education sciences, higher-education studies, public administration or policy, social sciences or related field
• In-depth specialist knowledge of quality assurance and quality management in higher education, with practical implementation experience
• Familiarity with accreditation requirements (HFKG/AAQ or comparable)
• Proven ability to lead negotiations across a large, decentralised organisation
• Experience leading projects and change processes, and working with external consultants and procurement
• Confident with survey design and common data analysis tools
• Detailed knowledge of ETH Zurich's processes and organisational structure, or ability to acquire it quickly
• Very good command of both German and English; cross-department work across German-speaking units
• Conceptual, evidence-based thinker who communicates sensitive content clearly to varied audiences

Aufgaben

• Conceptualise and design the Quality of Education Framework with a common core for all 16 departments and central bodies, plus adaptable elements
• Map current QA standards and QA management processes across central bodies and departments and harmonise them
• Ensure the framework is interoperable with ETH's existing support processes and management instruments
• Enhance adoption with departmental QA/QM representatives and external partners and accreditation bodies
• Prepare reports, analyses and expertise on the framework and its rollout for management, Rectorate and departments
• Represent the framework in Committees dealing with strategic QA/QM matters, and support the Head of Strategy & Analytics
• Run the pilot to prepare the first implementation in 2027 and coordinate institution-wide rollout and embedding across departments and central units
