Job summary

Swissquote is seeking an Associate Director for Quality Control & Remediations within Business Risk Management. Based in the Gland/Zurich area, you will lead the QC & Remediations team responsible for final quality checks on client onboarding and periodic reviews across New Client Onboarding and Existing Clients, ensuring regulatory alignment and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years' track record in client onboarding, KYC/AML, or compliance operations within financial services.
• Previous leadership or team-lead experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA, AMLA, CDB) and onboarding/periodic review due diligence standards.
• Experience with remediation exercises, including scoping and delivering ad-hoc reviews arising from audit or compliance testing findings.
• Ability to communicate operational priorities to technical teams building tooling and systems.
• Experience supporting or participating in audits, preparing business responses.
• Sound risk and quality judgment with independent, defensible decision-making on complex cases.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and results-oriented team collaboration.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and French; German is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Direct the operational and people management aspects of the QC & Remediations team, fostering a high-performance culture aligned to strategic objectives.
• Oversee the final quality check on account openings and periodic review cases prior to finalization, ensuring consistent application of standards.
• Produce qualitative and quantitative reporting on return reasons and QC trends for senior management.
• Identify recurring gaps from QC results and coordinate with relevant teams to close them.
• Own ad-hoc remediation exercises arising from audits or compliance testing and ensure timely completion.
• Act as a key contact in audits, preparing and presenting business responses with management.
• Participate in strategic discussions with onboarding and periodic review teams, contributing QC perspectives to transformation initiatives.
• Lead process improvements to reduce return rates and strengthen first-time-right outcomes.
• Partner with Institutional Sales, Compliance and Legal to uphold standards while maintaining relationships.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance management to maintain a motivated team.
• Coach and mentor team members for skill development and career growth.
