Job summary

Swissquote is seeking an Associate Director for Existing Clients within its Business Risk Management function. The role balances regulatory oversight with commercial objectives, leading the Existing Clients team across Gland and Zurich to ensure robust controls and timely reviews.

You’ll work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Sales to uphold Swiss regulatory standards while driving operational excellence and risk-based decision making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in client periodic reviews or compliance operations in financial services.
• Leadership or team-lead experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA, AMLA, CDB).

Responsibilities

• Direct the operational and people management of the Existing Clients team.
• Oversee the periodic review process across institutional clients.
• Coordinate with Sales to ensure reviews are launched on schedule and documentation is timely.
• Prepare materials for Executive Management committees, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Identify risks and implement appropriate controls for existing clients.
• Collaborate with Quality Control & Remediations and Compliance on ad-hoc reviews.
• Own reporting on periodic review and ongoing controls metrics for senior management.
• Serve as primary contact for audits and monitoring by second line of defense.
• Manage escalations with Sales Management to address overdue or at-risk cases.
• Lead process improvements for efficiency and on-time completion.
• Partner with Institutional Sales, Compliance and Legal to balance growth and risk.
• Participate in client meetings when needed.
• Contribute to recruitment and performance management to sustain a high-performing team.
• Coach and mentor team members for skill development.
