Are you an experienced procurement professional who knows how to negotiate when supplier choice is limited, commercial leverage is challenging and cost expectations remain high?

We are recruiting a Global Procurement Manager to join the international procurement team of a leading manufacturing business.

This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you will take ownership of strategic sourcing, complex supplier negotiations and cost performance across technically demanding direct material categories.

The Role

Working across an international supplier base, you will:

• Lead complex commercial negotiations with global suppliers
• Deliver ambitious and measurable cost savings
• Challenge supplier pricing and commercial terms
• Manage negotiations within limited-supplier, monopoly and oligopoly markets
• Run RFQs and benchmark pricing against market conditions
• Identify and develop alternative and lower-cost supply sources
• Protect continuity of supply and mitigate procurement risk
• Drive supplier performance across cost, quality and delivery

About You

We are looking for someone with:

• 15+ years' procurement experience, ideally within automotive, chemicals or another fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Strong direct materials, raw materials, commodity or strategic sourcing experience
• A proven track record of personally leading challenging supplier negotiations
• Experience delivering significant, measurable cost savings
• Experience negotiating where supplier options and commercial leverage are limited
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability and negotiation skills
• The resilience to perform in a demanding, target-driven environment
