EPM Scientific in Basel, Switzerland partners with a growing international life sciences manufacturer to recruit a Category Manager, Capital Projects Procurement. You will lead strategic sourcing for major investment projects across Europe, driving procurement activities for capital projects including construction services and technical equipment and aligning sourcing strategies with project objectives.

We are currently partnering with a growing international life sciences manufacturer seeking a Category Manager, Capital Projects Procurement to support strategic sourcing and procurement activities for major investment projects across Europe.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading procurement activities for capital projects, including construction services, engineering support and technical equipment
• Developing and implementing sourcing strategies aligned with project and business objectives
• Managing tenders, supplier selection, negotiations and contract awards
• Overseeing the end-to-end procurement process and supplier performance
• Building strong supplier relationships and identifying new sourcing opportunities
• Partnering with Engineering, Operations, Finance and Project teams
• Monitoring market trends and supporting continuous improvement initiatives

An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or a related field
• Several years of procurement experience within a regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience sourcing construction services, capital equipment or technical categories
• Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and stakeholder management abilities
• Experience working with ERP systems and procurement tools
• Fluent German and English
