agap2 Switzerland is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer for substation design and grid integration in Switzerland. You will work on primary/secondary systems, protection, and automation for HV/MV substations. We value hands-on testing, field validation, and collaboration with utilities and EPCs.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with power/energy focus.
Experience in design for substations or utility-scale systems.
Knowledge of protection, relays, and SCADA/automation.
Proficiency with power system analysis tools.
Experience with AutoCAD or EPLAN.

Responsibilities

Design and develop primary and/or secondary systems for electrical substations (HV/MV), including protection, control, and automation schemes.
Prepare and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and protection concepts.
Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) and support grid integration activities.
Specify, select, and validate electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and control systems.
Collaborate with utilities, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure technical compliance and project execution.
Support testing, commissioning, and validation of substation systems on-site and in laboratory environments.
Contribute to applied engineering improvements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of grid technologies and standards.
Document and present technical solutions, reports, and project deliverables.
