Job summary

BRUSA HyPower AG in Buchs, Switzerland, seeks a senior Systems Engineer to own power conversion features end-to-end—from customer requirements to verification in high-voltage labs. Qualifications

• ,Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Several years of embedded systems development experience.
• Knowledge of power electronics, control systems, and real-time HW/SW interaction.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, or similar modeling tools; SysML or System Composer is an advantage.
• Proficiency in C programming and CAN communication.
• Familiarity with ASPICE and ISO 26262.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of power conversion features end-to-end, from customer requirements through architecture, implementation alignment, and final system verification.
• Design and define control functions, modulation concepts, fault reactions, and system behavior for high-power electronic converters.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, software, FPGA, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration and consistent feature development.
• Create and maintain system requirements, functional architectures, interface definitions, and behavioral models using modern engineering methods and tools.
• Drive simulation, testing, and validation activities, taking features from virtual models into real-world verification in the high-voltage laboratory.
• Ensure traceability, documentation quality, and compliance with automotive development processes such as ASPICE and functional safety standards.
• Represent the system perspective towards internal stakeholders and customers, helping to resolve technical challenges and align cross-functional teams.
