Job summary

Hitachi Energy Semiconductors in Lenzburg, Switzerland, seeks an engineer to develop and integrate electrical test systems for power semiconductor characterization and evaluation. You will design solutions for high-power testing, commission and troubleshoot lab equipment, and collaborate with R&D teams across facilities.

The role offers exposure to power electronics, lab infrastructure, and product qualification activities, supporting renewable energy and HVDC applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or related field.
• Experience in system engineering, hardware integration, or test engineering.
• Solid understanding of power electronics and electrical measurement systems.
• Hands-on experience with commissioning, troubleshooting, and laboratory equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate electrical test systems for power semiconductor characterization and evaluation.
• Lead the design of solutions for high-power testing applications.
• Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize laboratory test equipment.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to support product development and validation.
• Integrate measurement systems, sensors, power supplies, and automation solutions.
• Define system requirements and coordinate activities with external partners.
• Investigate equipment failures and support root cause analysis activities.
• Create technical documentation, specifications, and test procedures.
