Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a motivated Project Manager Engineering to lead converter system projects from sales through completion in Switzerland.

You will drive planning, execution, and delivery with focus on quality, budget, and timelines, coordinating engineering teams and external partners. The role emphasizes leadership, strong communication, and stakeholder management, with a preference for PMP certification and a background in power/converter systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project execution within an engineering environment.
• Experience with power systems and converter systems is a plus.
• PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Engineering projects within defined timelines and budgets.
• Lead the technical solution development during sales and tender phase for Engineering.
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in close collaboration with stakeholders.
• Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
• Communicate project plans, progress, and expectations clearly and proactively.
• Assess resource requirements and ensure effective allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Track Engineering project milestones, timelines, and deliverables using appropriate tools.
• Identify technical risks early, manage changes in scope, and implement suitable mitigation measures.
• Lead, coach, and motivate project team members, fostering accountability and high performance.
• Conduct project reviews and capture key learnings, deriving actionable recommendations for future improvements.
