Job summary

Médecins Sans Frontières International in Zurich seeks an Associate Philanthropy Advisor for private major donors to grow support in German-speaking Switzerland and Liechtenstein. You will manage a portfolio of major donors, design donor journeys, and collaborate with MSF leaders to align fundraising with field missions.

The role requires excellent writing, presentations, and relationship management for gifts between CHF 10,000 and CHF 20,000 annually; open-ended contract, 40 hours per week,

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, International Relations or related fields
• First professional experience in the non-profit sector or in marketing/sales/communication or client relationship management
• German mother tongue and very good English; French and Italian an asset

Responsibilities

• Contribute to implementation of the yearly plan
• Manage portfolio of donors and design donor journeys for CHF 10,000–20,000 gifts
• Draft engaging communication for major donors
• Prepare and facilitate meetings with major donors
• Coordinate with MSF leadership and field staff to align donor engagement with program work
• Ensure donor journey compliance with gifts acceptance policy
• Ensure donor database accuracy and timely donor stewardship
