Job summary

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is seeking an Associate Philanthropy Advisor for private major donors in German-speaking Switzerland (Zurich). This role focuses on cultivating relationships with major donors, crafting personalized donor journeys, and coordinating high-level engagement with MSF leadership and field teams.

The position involves strategic planning, data management, and proactive solicitation to grow income from private donors while upholding MSF’s values and gifts acceptance

Qualifications

• Proven excellent writing and editing skills.
• Excellent oral presentation skills.
• Strong knowledge of Windows environment (Word, Excel, Power Point) and tech-savvy.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to forecast income.
• Knowledge of humanitarian and development sector in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to annual plan implementation.
• Cultivate and steward a portfolio of private major donors.
• Draft engaging communications for major donors about MSF projects.
• Coordinate donor visits and interactions with MSF spokespeople.
• Collaborate with MSF teams to ensure donor journey aligns with gifts acceptance policy.
