Merck KGaA in Switzerland is seeking an Operations Technology engineer to lead the control and automation of our pharmaceutical manufacturing site. Qualifikationen

• University degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
• At least five years of experience in industrial automation.
• Strong knowledge of DCS: Yokogawa CENTUM VP and Emerson DeltaV.
• Solid knowledge of electrical engineering, electronics, instrumentation and fieldbus technologies (Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Profinet).
• Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation, actuators and VSDs.
• Basic knowledge of Ethernet TCP/IP communication.
• Fluency in French and English; able to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of process automation systems including Siemens S7; AVEVA System Platform/Galaxy and AVEVA Batch is an asset; pharma/chemical industry experience desirable.

• Receive training on the biotechnological manufacturing process and quickly become autonomous in the role.
• Provide support to Production, conduct technical investigations, deliver projects and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Work in an organized, flexible manner with a varied daily workload.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production and Quality Assurance.
• Maintain strong communication with a wide range of stakeholders.
• After training, participate in on-call service for a few days each month.
• Contribute directly to the reliability, performance and continuous improvement of automated systems.
