Merck Healthcare in Switzerland seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to join the Operations Technology unit. You will design, develop, and commission automated systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing, and provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial automation, DCS knowledge (Yokogawa CENTUM VP, Emerson DeltaV), and fluency in French and English. Collaboration with Engineering, Maintenance, Production and QA is essential.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Automation Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation.
• Proven experience with DCS Yokogawa CENTUM VP and Emerson DeltaV.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering, instrumentation and fieldbus tech (Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Profinet).
• Experience in commissioning, troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation and drives.
• Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of AVEVA systems is an asset; pharma/chemical industry experience desirable.

Aufgaben

• Technical support, troubleshooting, design, development and commissioning of automated systems controlling pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Provide training for biotechnological processes and achieve autonomy in main responsibilities.
• Support Production, conduct technical investigations, deliver projects and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production and Quality Assurance.
• Join on-call rotations after training and contribute to reliability of systems.
