Working closely with the People Operations Lead, you will take ownership of routine processes while developing your expertise in HR systems, documentation, and employee support. You will also contribute to projects that improve internal workflows and enhance the overall employee experience. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for an organized, proactive HR professional looking to grow within a dynamic, international environment.

Accountabilities

Support day-to-day People Operations activities by ensuring employee requests are handled efficiently, HR documentation remains accurate, and essential processes run smoothly. Working under the guidance of the People Operations Lead, you will coordinate routine tasks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to continuous improvements across the employee lifecycle.

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for employee HR questions, providing clear and helpful responses, tracking requests, and escalating unfamiliar or sensitive matters appropriately.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding in collaboration with Talent, hiring managers, IT, and other stakeholders, ensuring checklists and handoffs are completed on time and new hires are ready for their first day.
  • Process employment verification requests according to established procedures, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate background checks, administer the relevant provider platform, follow up on outstanding cases, and elevate findings to authorized decision‑makers.
  • Maintain employee records in HR systems, verifying data accuracy, updating information, and organizing documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain routine employee documentation under the supervision of the People Operations Lead.
  • Keep operational trackers, process guides, and internal documentation up to date, following up on pending tasks and identifying potential delays or gaps.
  • Contribute to employee lifecycle projects by improving workflows, updating documentation, and completing assigned project tasks.
  • Collaborate with People, Talent, IT, hiring managers, and other internal partners to ensure efficient coordination across everyday HR operations.
  • Learn internal systems and workflows, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and seek guidance when situations require additional expertise or judgment.
Requirements

The ideal candidate has an early‑career background in HR or Talent and a strong interest in developing broader People Operations expertise. You should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple administrative responsibilities while communicating thoughtfully with employees and handling confidential information appropriately.

  • 2–3 years of experience in HR and/or Talent, including hands‑on involvement in coordination, employee or candidate support, and administrative processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate trackers, and review records and documents carefully.
  • A proactive and dependable approach to work, including anticipating next steps, following up independently, and identifying potential issues before they escape.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an empathetic, service-oriented approach to employee support.
  • Willingness to learn unfamiliar systems and processes, ask relevant questions, and incorporate feedback into daily work.
  • Sound judgment when handling confidential employee information, with an understanding of when to go on sensitive or complex situations.
  • Confidence using spreadsheets, digital tools, and administrative systems, along with the ability to learn new HR information systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with distributed teams and coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a remote environment.
Nice To Have
  • Experience working in a startup or rapidly growing organization.
  • Exposure to onboarding coordination, HRIS or ATS administration, employment verification processes, or background‑check platforms.
  • Experience supporting international or geographically distributed teams.
  • Availability for some working-hours overlap with US Eastern Time.
Benefits
  • Fully remote working arrangement within Europe, with the role based in Ukraine or an EU country.
  • Full‑time employment opportunity within an international, distributed organization.
  • Direct collaboration with the People Operations Lead and opportunities to develop practical HR expertise.
