Job summary

SERAC Biosciences AG seeks a Lab Manager and Research Administrator to build efficient lab processes, coordinate projects, and oversee procurement and regulatory compliance. The role is on-site to support an active drug discovery program and requires strong organization and communication skills.

The ideal candidate has a life sciences background with lab management exposure and proficiency in Microsoft 365 and budgeting tools.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship or Bachelor’s degree in life science or related discipline or BBA.
• Experience as lab manager; biotech/biopharmaceutical industry is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to foster productive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up lab infrastructure and data management processes.
• Coordinate research projects and manage resources for the scientific team.
• Ensure operations compliance with guidelines and biosafety requirements.
• Manage procurement (POs, orders, reception) and stock for lab supplies on site.
• Support Accounts Payable with PO management, customs docs, and invoice discrepancies.
• Assist vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
• Contribute to budget planning, accruals, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Provide administrative support including calendars and timelines.
