Job summary

SpiroChem AG is seeking a Facility and HSE Manager to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning laboratory and workplace at our Basel site. You will oversee lab infrastructure, building services, and health, safety and environmental practices to support daily operations and development.

Working with laboratory teams, management and external providers, you will coordinate maintenance, manage contractors, oversee space planning, chemical storage, incident investigations and HSE training,

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, engineering or related field.
• Practical knowledge of laboratory infrastructure, chemical safety and waste management.
• Familiarity with Swiss workplace safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience coordinating contractors and technical projects.
• Excellent analytical skills for risk assessment and hazard analysis.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preventive maintenance of laboratory infrastructure and building systems.
• Manage external contractors and service providers for safe work and minimal disruption.
• Oversee space planning, site access, security and building services.
• Maintain inventories of shared equipment, chemicals, and storage compliance.
• Coordinate safety policies, incidents, investigations and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss HSE requirements and continuous improvement.
