Zusammenfassung

Laelaps is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to own customer deployments end to end at industrial facilities, critical infrastructure, and military sites. You will survey sites, install and integrate the system, tune for site conditions, and hand over to operators who rely on it daily.

You’ll work with cameras, networks, and edge hardware, balancing field requirements with product priorities. Travel across Switzerland and Europe is expected; Zurich base preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of software engineering experience with Python and Linux fundamentals.
• Experience deploying software on-prem or at the edge; Docker required.
• Excellent EQ with direct end-user/customer interaction and stakeholder navigation.
• Fluent German and good English; willing to travel regularly within Switzerland and Europe.
• Based in Zurich or willing to relocate.

Aufgaben

• End-to-end deployments: site surveys, installation, integration, validation, and handover.
• Install and manage on-prem infrastructure on edge hardware at customer sites.
• Integrate cameras, sensors, VMS, and robots; write glue code as needed.
• Calibrate system to site conditions; work with operators and leadership.
• Turn field lessons into tooling and runbooks; provide product feedback.
