Job summary

Jamestown Public Schools seeks an ND COUNTS Facilitator to coordinate, facilitate, and support professional development for teachers in grades 4–8. This 24-day grant-funded assignment focuses on implementing the Science of Mathematics and strengthening math instruction district-wide.

The role includes reviewing content, preparing resources, and leading multiple PD sessions, plus follow-up coaching to ensure effective classroom implementation.

Qualifications

• Valid ND teaching license is required.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics instruction and effective practices.
• Experience teaching mathematics at upper elementary or middle school level.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review ND COUNTS content and prepare instructional resources, presentations, and activities.
• Facilitate four three-day professional development sessions for grades 4–8.
• Support teachers in strengthening mathematics content knowledge and instructional practices.
• Facilitate collaboration and planning for classroom implementation.
• Provide follow-up coaching through professional learning communities.
• Assist teachers with reviewing student work and refining instructional plans.
