Job summary

EPM Scientific seeks a Machine Learning Engineer for a Swiss medical technology environment. You will develop and deploy ML/AI models for medical imaging, collaborating with software and hardware teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

You will contribute to data preparation, validation, and documentation while applying robust MLOps practices and working within a regulated development framework. Fluent English required.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in ML, AI, CS, or Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of commercial ML/AI development experience.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Experience with computer vision or medical imaging.
• Exposure to deploying and optimizing ML models beyond research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve machine-learning and deep-learning models for medical applications.
• Work with medical imaging and other complex healthcare datasets.
• Build reliable pipelines for training, testing and evaluating models.
• Improve model performance and prepare solutions for production environments.
• Support deployment of ML models onto hardware-constrained systems.
• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate ML into product platforms.
• Contribute to data preparation, quality and annotation processes.
• Support testing, validation and technical documentation in a regulated environment.
• Apply software engineering and MLOps practices throughout development.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams across the product lifecycle.
