Machine Learning Architects Basel (MLAB) is seeking a Senior Data Engineering Consultant to lead data/AI projects end-to-end in a client-facing consulting environment. You will design, implement and operationalize data pipelines, ML/LLM integrations, and reliability practices across diverse industries.

The role emphasizes architecture development, data products and data mesh concepts, with fluency in German and English, and a Swiss/EU work permit.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years professional experience as a Data or Software Engineer focused on data and ML systems.
• Experience with major data and AI platforms; certifications are a plus (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Data Mesh, Data Lakes/Warehouses, DataOps, and Reliability Engineering.
• Understanding end-to-end lifecycle of data projects, code, models and data pipelines across stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, platforms, and engineering best practices (traceability, reliability, scalability, measurability, automation).
• Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Swiss passport or valid EU/EFTA work permit.
