Job summary

Omega Point Partners in Bern, Switzerland is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Tech to optimize plant processes on the shop floor, drive safety and quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will conduct time studies, design workstation layouts, and implement kanban and automation to improve throughput. The role requires CAD proficiency, strong problem-solving, and collaboration with production teams.

Relocation not offered; candidates must be commutable to the site.

Qualifications

Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or basic coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

Optimize Production: Conduct time studies, build Bills of Labor, and set labor rates.
Design & Layout: Create CAD drawings for workstations, plant layouts, and material flow systems.
Drive Efficiency: Build kanban systems, write clear operator work instructions, and automate processes to improve safety and throughput.
Analyze & Improve: Perform cost analysis, root-cause problem solving, and material/equipment testing.
