The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. in Wollerau, Switzerland, is seeking a Buyer for logistics and distribution in the EMEA region to support procurement strategy and supplier negotiations.

You will lead activities across the logistics and distribution category, coordinating with stakeholders to achieve cost reductions and service quality. You will monitor market conditions, identify improvements, and manage supplier relationships in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifikationen

• University degree or apprenticeship in a procurement related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a procurement function.
• Understanding in logistics services and warehousing/distribution.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the logistics & distribution category to ensure quality of services while achieving cost reductions.
• Lead or support Category Manager in sourcing events to drive cost reductions and service quality improvements.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, evaluate market innovations and services.
• Monitor market conditions and their impact on category strategies.
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract discussions with legal, and capture contracts in the system.
• Track results against KPIs using data reporting capabilities.
• Identify new opportunities and cultivate supplier relationships.
• Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and IT solutions.
• Review category mappings and end-to-end buying processes to identify improvements.
• Build strong relationships with strategic business partners to align with business outcomes.

In Switzerland, Estée Lauder has the main Supply Chain Hub for Travel Retail (TR) and EMEA.

Due to a replacement, we are looking to expand our Indirect Procurement capabilities for EMEA by assigning a Buyer for logistics and distribution for our Indirect Procurement EMEA team in Wollerau, Switzerland.

Job Description

This position is responsible for the EMEA purchasing activities in logistics and disribution categories. You will be supporting the implementation of the logistics and distribution procurement strategy, leading and supporting procurement activities as well as, identifying, tracking and managing savings across the region. The objective is to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality logistics services at optimum cost by connecting with stakeholders from various functions and influencing customers through listening and communication.

Your Main Responsibilities Include

• Contribute to the development and implementation of effective sourcing strategies for the logistics & distribution category by ensuring quality of services and significant cost reductions in order to support ELCs growth in the region
• Lead or support Category Manager in preparation and conducting sourcing events in a timely manner driving cost reductions and improvement of the quality of services to ELC
• Investigate and analyze the market innovations, new equipment's, services and solutions available and seek new suppliers who may qualify to do business with ELC
• Continuously monitor external market conditions and understand their potential impacts on category strategies
• Lead supplier negotiations, contract discussions with legal, implement contracts and capture them in the system.
• Monitor results, utilizing data reporting capabilities, against established global and regional KPIs
• Identify new opportunities to meet business needs and cultivate supplier relationships
• Actively support continuous improvement of procurement processes and relevant IT solutions
• Review the existing category mapping, analyzing contracts and buying process end to end to identify what works well and where we have opportunities
• Identify and develop excellent working relationships with strategic business partners to gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements and to support the business in achievement of its outcomes

We Are Looking For Someone Who Brings

• University degree or apprenticeship in a procurement related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a procurement function
• Understanding in logistics services (e.g. 3PL, Freight Forwarders, OTR, LTL, FTL, Parcel, Air Freight, Ocean, Inbound/Outbound, e-commerce fulfillment services, Omnichannel, etc.) and Warehousing/Distribution
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful sourcing execution
• Good negotiation skills
• Very good organizational management skills
• Team player, also capable to work independently, set priorities, follow-up agreed processes and standards
• Flexibility and capacity to adapt to fast changing project circumstances
• Strong analytical skills, experienece with e-sourcing solutions is a plus
• Go getter-attitude who is creative and comes up with solutions
• Fluent in English (writing / speaking), additional languages are a plus
