Pascal Dietrich Consulting AG in Bern, Switzerland, seeks a proactive Flight Dynamics & Operations Engineer to design, automate and operate a Flight Dynamics System for ESA-guided satellite missions. You will build automated pipelines for Orbit Determination and manoeuvre planning.

The ideal candidate has a 3–5+ year track record in LEO flight operations or MCC, strong orbital mechanics, and is proficient in Java and Python with Git/CI-CD. Fluency in English is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of experience in LEO flight operations or MCC environments.
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, manoeuvre planning and flight dynamics.
• Proficiency in Java and Python, including Git, CI/CD and software engineering best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Orekit, FreeFlyer, GMAT or STK/Astrogator.
• Experience with ESA/ECSS standards or European space projects is an advantage.
• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Excellent English skills; German is an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Design, automate and operate a Flight Dynamics System for next-generation satellite missions within the ESA framework.
• Develop automated pipelines for Orbit Determination, manoeuvre planning and flight dynamics product generation.
• Design and implement station-keeping, constellation phasing and collision avoidance algorithms for LEO satellite constellations.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design and the integration of flight dynamics modules into the ground segment.
• Collaborate with international teams on mission analysis, operational concepts and technical documentation.
• Support the delivery of high-quality software and operational solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
