Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in flight software or embedded systems.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++ for resource-constrained embedded targets.
• Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded Linux.
• Ability to translate mission and system requirements into software specifications and interfaces.
• Experience with software verification, validation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.

Aufgaben

• Take technical ownership of flight software developments and act as the primary software interface to systems engineering, avionics, payload teams, mission operations, and external providers.
• Translate mission concepts of operations into spacecraft behaviors and define software architectures and interfaces.
• Allocate hardware-software functions and define software requirements and interfaces.
• Translate requirements into software specifications, IOs, and verification plans.
• Develop embedded flight software in C and C++, and create test scripts (Python).
• Integrate flight software with onboard computers, sensors, actuators, payload electronics, and ground systems.
• Set up and maintain flat-sat flight software testbeds.
• Perform software trade studies on capacity, memory, timing, bandwidth, autonomy, and fault tolerance.
• Develop real-time, event-driven, autonomous, synchronization, and GNC software functions when needed.
• Maintain software baselines, versioning, CI, and traceability.
• Execute unit tests and system-level verification activities; support anomaly investigations and flight operations.
