Lead Project Director, Complex Construction

Job summary

Mercury is seeking a seasoned Project Director for Zurich, responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex construction projects. You will lead the project team, interface with clients, and ensure safe, on-time, on-budget outcomes while driving digital reporting and continuous improvement.

Key duties include steering weekly meetings, audits, EHS, quality controls, and client communications, with training and development of the project team as a priority.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or recognised trade qualification.
• 10+ years’ experience managing large construction projects as a General Contractor.
• Thorough knowledge of Civil, Structural and Architectural packages.
• Flexibility in working patterns where necessary.
• Strong communication & computer skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly team, design and client meetings.
• Oversee EHS and QA processes and ensure corrective actions.
• Drive Mercury procedures, digital delivery, BIM and project controls.
• Develop client relationships and communicate project performance at executive level.
• Provide training and mentorship for project leadership roles.
• Prepare and review weekly project reports and KPI dashboards.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors, planning and procurement to meet deadlines.
