Job summary

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in QS/Commercial role.
Experience in Commercial leadership on large scale projects/ data centres.
Professional qualification in quantity surveying or experienced engineer with commercial responsibilities.
Good level of legal awareness and competence in assessing Contract Documents and contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Validate tender and construction budgets to ensure margins.
Advise Project Managers on administration, including site instructions and forecasting.
Coordinate with Procurement to manage tender process within budget and guidelines.
Oversee internal monthly cost reports and month-end reviews.
Liaise with Finance and review contracts and tenders for advantageous outcomes.
Assess and agree sub-contractor and supplier variations.
Ensure compliance with contract programmes/schedules.
Manage interim payment applications with Clients Representative.
Oversee insurance needs and settlements for construction projects.
Manage dispute resolution with external consultants.
