EPAM Systems in Geneva, Switzerland is seeking an OMS Lead Engineer to drive the technical delivery of a Fluent Commerce-based Unified Commerce OMS. The role combines hands-on backend engineering with leadership of a distributed team in a hybrid work model.

You will shepherd architecture alignment, delivery quality, and integration with enterprise systems while coordinating across brands and markets.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience as Technical Lead or Senior Backend Engineer in Order Management Systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java and backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and WebFlux.
• Hands-on cloud experience, ideally AWS, and CI/CD with GitLab.
• Solid understanding of distributed order management and inventory visibility.
• Experience integrating third‑party SaaS and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Commercetools).
• Familiarity with unit test automation and software quality practices.
• Excellent communication and leadership across distributed teams.
• Fluent English; French proficiency is a strong advantage.

Aufgaben

• Lead a team of six OMS/Java developers, providing technical and delivery guidance.
• Bring strong Fluent Commerce/Fluent OMS expertise to support solution design and feature development.
• Contribute as a backend engineer to develop OMS capabilities and guide scalable implementations.
• Create and review technical specifications and user stories.
• Support backlog refinement and ensure development readiness of requirements.
• Implement backlog items and oversee unit test automation.
• Coordinate release preparation and production deployments, maintaining CI/CD pipelines across AWS, GitLab, Spring Boot, WebFlux, MongoDB and Python components.
