Zusammenfassung

Merkle, a dentsu company, is hiring a Lead DXP Engineer for Switzerland in a hybrid setup. You will design, develop and implement high‑performance Java applications with a focus on scalability, security and performance, working with cross‑functional teams.

The role requires hands‑on back‑end development, code reviews, and shaping testing/build processes, with German and English proficiency and a collaborative, ownership‑driven mindset. Hybrid model with occasional office days in St Gallen.

Qualifikationen

• Completed degree in computer science or comparable qualifications.
• Several years of professional experience as a Java backend developer in a web environment.
• Experience with code reviews and agile methodologies (Scrum).
• Experience developing data-driven applications using Java, Spring Boot and SQL; frontends in TypeScript or Vaadin.
• Experience with CMS solutions (Magnolia or AEM).
• Strong commitment to software design quality.
• Clear communication to different audiences.

Aufgaben

• Conception, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, high‑performance applications.
• Develop Java-based backend services in project teams with subject matter experts.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and best practices.
• Continuously improve development tools and automated testing/build processes.
