RIVR, an Amazon company, is building Physical AI by deploying autonomous robots for real-world doorstep delivery. This Light Integration Mechanical Engineer will design electro-mechanical assemblies, test prototypes, and collaborate with electronics engineers to integrate PCBAs into mechanical structures.

You will build and mentor a hardware team, drive design reviews, create documentation, and advise product leaders on strategic choices, while ensuring safety, reliability, and manufacturability.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Robotics, Automotive or Aerospace.
• 5+ years of industry or research experience; PhD experience is applicable.
• Proficient in CAD software for mechanical design.
• Deep understanding of actuators, motors, materials, DFM, power transmission, mechanisms, and modern manufacturing technologies.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams, contractors, and OEM/ODM relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and hardware-debugging skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop electro-mechanical assemblies for our robots.
• Build and test prototypes to evaluate functionality and performance.
• Collaborate with electronics engineers to integrate PCBAs into mechanical structures.
• Perform rigorous testing to verify reliability, durability, and safety of hardware.
• Create detailed hardware documentation including specs, assembly instructions, and testing protocols.
• Build, lead and mentor a hardware engineering team.
• Provide guidance to product managers and executives for strategic decisions.
• Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
• Improve design standards and participate in design reviews.
