SimplyVision GmbH in Basel (CH) seeks a Laboratory Technician – Process Development & Small-Scale Manufacturing (m/f/x) for onsite work in Basel. You will join the Process Development team to advance chemical processes, generate data, and support small-scale and non-GMP/GMP batches for innovative modalities.

You will perform synthesis experiments, collaborate with Process Chemists, maintain compliant ELN records, and contribute to scale-up, manufacturing support, and technology platforms such as

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship as Laboratory Technician or equivalent scientific technical qualification.
• Experience in synthetic chemistry and hands-on laboratory work.
• Experience supporting or participating in scale-up of chemical reactions and processes.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards (HSE).
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, NMR and lab analytical systems.
• Languages: German good working proficiency; English strong written and spoken.
• Willingness to mentor juniors as experience grows.

Responsabilités

• Execute laboratory experiments to influence chemical process development and manufacturing strategies.
• Generate, analyze, and communicate experimental data to support project teams and manufacturing sites.
• Contribute to process optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up activities.
• Support platforms such as Biocatalysis, Flow Chemistry, PAT, Surfactant-Based Chemistry, and Sustainable Process Development.
• Participate in the production of small-scale GMP and non-GMP batches when required.
