Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician to contribute to the advancement of innovative chemical processes and support the supply of drug substances through high-quality experimental work. Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory experiments to support chemical process development and manufacturing strategies.
- Analyze and communicate experimental data to project teams and manufacturing sites.
- Contribute to process optimization, troubleshooting, and scale-up activities.
- Support advanced technology platforms, including Biocatalysis, Flow Chemistry, Process Analytical Technology (PAT), and Sustainable Process Development.
- Participate in the production of small-scale GMP and non-GMP batches for advanced therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain accurate and compliant electronic laboratory records (eLN) and documentation.
- Assist with pilot-scale and manufacturing campaigns, including process familiarization, troubleshooting, and yield optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Manage laboratory equipment, inventories, and infrastructure to maintain operational readiness.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- Completed apprenticeship as a Laboratory Technician or equivalent scientific/technical qualification.
- Practical experience in synthetic chemistry and a passion for laboratory work.
- Hands-on expertise in chemical synthesis, process development, and scale-up activities.
- Proficiency with standard synthesis and analytical equipment (e.g., HPLC, GC, NMR, EasyMax, FlexyALR).
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards and HSE requirements.
- Excellent documentation, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in German (working level) and English (strong written and spoken).
- Ownership of laboratory activities with high-quality results.
