Job summary

Bank J. Safra Sarasin in Zürich is seeking a Junior Fixed Income Sales/-trader to help build our growing Fixed Income Sales & Trading franchise and provide excellent service to institutional and bank clients.

You will take operational lead on day-to-day sales tasks, participate in client visits, discuss trade ideas, support KYC tasks, and contribute market commentary under supervision. The role requires a university degree in Engineering or Quantitative Finance, 2–3 years in Sales &

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering or Quantitative Finance is required.
• 2–3 years of practical experience in Sales &Trading and first relevant work experience in Banking/Finance via internships or as a graduate.
• Strong coding, analytics, and quantitative finance skills; proficiency with Bloomberg, AI tools, analytic tools, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Take operational lead for day-to-day sales tasks and client communications.
• Participate in client visits and events to support senior colleagues.
• Discuss trade ideas, axes, and market views with clients and prospects.
• Support KYC tasks including account openings and client reviews.
• Write and compile market comments and relative value ideas under supervision.
• Handle post-trade requests and reconcile bookings with colleagues.
• Support the desk with market-making tasks under the Head of Trading.
