Job summary

UBP - Union Bancaire Privée seeks a Middle Officer for External Portfolio Manager Oversight in Geneva. The role supports daily and periodic controls on an alternative investment platform and strengthens oversight of external portfolio managers.

You will engage in NAV validation, P&L reviews, fee verification, and regulatory reporting, gaining practical exposure to investment operations and risk management. Fluent in French and English required.

Qualifications

First internship or initial experience in Finance, Asset Management, Investment Operations, Fund Accounting or a related field.
Fluent in French and English; good communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to follow procedures rigorously and identify operational risks.

Responsibilities

Review NAV calculations from fund administrators and external portfolio managers, investigate discrepancies and resolve within deadlines.
Review investment book P&L and explain movements, differences and variances.
Monitor share class performance, hedging ratios, and related calculations.
Validate management fees, performance fees, fund expenses and other billing elements.
Oversee risk and regulatory reporting and monitor capital activity.
Liaise with portfolio managers, custodians, and internal departments to resolve operational issues with data quality.
