Zusammenfassung

IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is seeking an IT Program Manager 100% based in Geneva for an initial period of 1 year. You will design, implement and manage programs and projects, coordinate multiple teams, PMs and stakeholders, and contribute to product evolution, roadmaps and execution of cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifikationen

  • 15 years of proven experience in program management.
  • Certification in PMP, Hermes or IPMA required.
  • Ability to read and document business processes using BPMN-type notations.
  • Strong budgeting and resource allocation knowledge.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and complex IT programs.

Reporting to the Head of IT Project Program Portfolio

About the Role

You will design, implement and manage programs and projects aligned with organizational objectives, coordinate multiple teams, project managers and key stakeholders, and provide input into product evolution, roadmaps and the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will ensure alignment between customer needs, business objectives, technology capabilities and financial performance, while also acting as Project Manager on selected projects.

Responsibilities
Program management
  • responsible for the program and projects planning and life cycle management and for monitoring progress through pre-defined milestones.
  • ensure alignment of projects and programs with the strategic plan of the organization
  • effectively manage changes in scope, schedule, and resources, assess their impact and manage budget
  • communicate changes and mitigate resistance to ensure smooth transitions
  • define the program controls, the processes, procedures as well as the reporting to manage the program
  • manage risks during the program life cycle and take corrective measures
  • coordinate the interdependencies of the projects and the programme and align their deliverables
  • efficiently manage resources and stakeholders across the various projects and programs in the program
  • anticipate future trends and develop long-term strategies to achieve the overall objectives of the organization
  • partner with business to define long-term product and technology vision, strategy, business cases, KPIs and investment priorities, ensuring delivery of strategic outcomes and organizational change
Project Management
  • define projects scope, objectives, and deliverables in alignment with stakeholders needs
  • develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budget to guide project execution
  • allocate resources and manage project budget to ensure its completion witing financial constraints
  • monitor project progress, track milestones, and manage change to project scope, schedule, and resources effectively
  • evaluate projects deliverables and ensure their quality standards satisfy stakeholder requirements
  • provide regular status updates and reporting on key performance metrics to management
  • facilitate communication and foster collaboration among project teams and stakeholders
  • ensure alignment and transparency throughout the program lifecycle
  • identifying opportunities for process improvement to enhance projects efficiency and effectiveness
  • identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT projects and implement strategies to minimize potential disruptions
  • build consensus and drive decisions across executive leadership, departments and technical teams without relying on formal authority
Stakeholder and partnership management
  • engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, partner organization, clients, vendors, and end-users, to understand their requirements, address concerns, and build strong relationships
Qualifications
  • 15 years of proven experience in program management
  • Proficiency in project management with large and complex projects and broad knowledge of project and program management methodologies and techniques (certification in PMP; Hermes, IPMA)
  • Ability to read and document business processes using BPMN-type notations
  • Ability to grasp the wider objectives of the program, business context and strategic goals
  • Good product management knowledge, including vision, strategy, roadmap definition, prioritization, KPI setting and value realization
  • Ability to translate customer needs, market opportunities and emerging technologies into pragmatic product and program decisions.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with solid managerial experience
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Deep knowledge of IT governance frameworks and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Expertise in change and risk management
  • Good knowledge of software development stages, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, development, and maintenance
  • Solid working knowledge of relevant digital tools, curious about, able to learn, assimilate and understand the impacts of current and future technologies
