Job summary

Bavarian Nordic Berna GmbH in Bern is seeking a Lab Technician QC Microbiology to join the Quality Control team on an 18-month fixed-term contract starting 1 January 2027. You will perform microbiological analyses in a cGMP environment and support validations.

The ideal candidate has vocational training in biology or chemistry, hands-on GxP microbiology experience, and strong teamwork. German language skills are required with basic English an advantage.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in biology or chemistry laboratory techniques.
• Hands-on microbiological testing experience in a regulated GxP environment.
• Strong teamwork and an independent, structured work approach.
• Careful, safety-conscious and reliable laboratory performance.
• Ability to quickly learn analytical methods and electronic systems.
• Proficiency in spoken and written German; basic English beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analyses in a cGMP-compliant environment.
• Support method validations and scientific studies.
• Accurately document all activities per cGMP requirements.
• Maintain and handle laboratory equipment and tools responsibly and in compliance with requirements.
• Contribute to improvement projects to enhance processes and efficiency.
