Job summary

Sonova is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer C++ to contribute to deeply embedded firmware for our next generation of hearing devices. You will design, implement and test software close to the hardware, tackling memory-constrained challenges and collaborating with hardware, software architecture and verification teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional embedded software experience.
• Experience with resource-constrained systems (memory/battery).
• Familiarity with Python, C#, test frameworks is an advantage.
• University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop object-oriented embedded software in modern C++ for resource-constrained wireless hearing devices.
• Contribute to design/architecture with software architects and platform teams.
• Develop, document, test, integrate and maintain software across the development lifecycle with test coverage.
• Debug complex issues on target hardware and simulators.
• Improve development and test environments and CI processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring hearing solutions from concept to product.
