Jobgether is seeking a Head of Engineering for a partner-listed opportunity based in Switzerland. You will lead a remote-first engineering organisation, shaping leadership layers, planning, and delivery as the company scales.

The role requires deep technical depth to guide complex decisions while prioritising reliability and security. You will partner with founders and senior leaders to translate priorities into realistic plans, drive hiring, architect practices, and ensure high-quality

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with production web-based systems.
• 4+ years in engineering leadership (Engineering Manager, Head of Engineering, or Tech Lead) with people-management responsibility.
• Ownership of people leadership, engineering delivery, capacity planning, prioritisation, and organisational development.
• Experience leading senior engineers and technical leaders and helping them grow into leadership roles.
• Experience with founders or executive leadership during growth/transformation.
• Delivery leadership experience in SaaS or fast-paced environments.
• Experience with engineering financial and headcount planning and resource allocation.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid security fundamentals and secure software delivery practices.
• Experience with Microsoft technologies (Azure, .NET) and production web systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, IaC, data platforms, and modern engineering enablement.
• Frontend experience (Angular, TypeScript) is a plus.
• Remote-first or distributed work experience is advantageous.
• English proficiency at C1 or higher.
• Willingness to join two annual one-week team events.

Aufgaben

• Lead and scale the engineering organisation with strong emphasis on people leadership and predictable delivery.
• Own engineering delivery at an organisational level, including capacity planning, roadmap feasibility, and resource allocation.
• Directly manage and develop engineering leaders (Tech Leads, QA Leads) as the organisation grows.
• Partner with senior tech, product, and business leaders to translate priorities into clear plans and timelines.
• Establish clear standards for architecture, quality, reliability, security, and practices.
• Maintain accountability for service reliability with ownership, escalation, monitoring, and improvement.
• Lead engineering hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development.
• Build cross-functional capabilities (architecture, security, compliance, platform engineering).
• Strengthen processes and decision-making to reduce dependency on individuals.
• Support financial and headcount planning across engineering.
• Foster a culture of clarity, ownership, collaboration, and high-quality execution.
• Remain technically engaged to guide sound decisions.
