Job summary

Qualifications

• University-level degree in international relations or related field.
• Experience in humanitarian aid, ideally as an MSF Head of Mission or Emergency Coordinator.
• Experience analysing unstable contexts and crisis situations.
• Knowledge of the medical, social, economic and political dimensions of humanitarian crises, whether acute or protracted, or undergoing development, is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Steers operations planning cycle and ensures MSF policies translate into action.
• Maintains network with political, humanitarian, medical and academic contacts to understand field environments.
• Monitors risk exposure and validates security framework for projects.
• Supervises and supports Heads of Mission, providing information and site visits at key moments.
• Ensures HQ support to field operations through coordination with departments.
