Job summary

MSF Switzerland is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (ARP) to steer MSF’s operations within Cell 4 from Geneva. You will oversee planning, risk management, and liaison with field teams, donors and HQ to ensure timely, effective humanitarian action.

The role requires a university-level degree and extensive humanitarian experience, with fluency in English and French. The position is full-time, based in Geneva with international travel and a December 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• University-level degree in international relations, social sciences, medicine, public health, a paramedical field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in humanitarian aid, ideally as an MSF Head of Mission or Emergency Coordinator.
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory; knowledge of a third language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall relevance, timeliness and quality of MSF’s assistance to populations in danger.
• Steer the operations planning cycle and mobilize resources to support objectives and strategies.
• Supervise Heads of Mission and provide them with information and field visits as needed.
• Organize HQ support to field operations by coordinating professionals from various departments.
• Monitor programme implementation, analyse reports, and ensure timely donor reporting.
