Job summary

Manpower Switzerland is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead a range of development, line extension, post-approval, technology, and continuous improvement projects in Basel. You will prioritize workload and coordinate with global partners, with travel in Switzerland as needed.

The ideal candidate has 8–11 years of experience in the medical device/pharma sectors, with 5+ years in related programs, strong vendor collaboration, and proficiency in PM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8–11 years of experience, at least 5 years in medical device/pharma.
• Experience in drug/medical device development & commercialization, esp. combination products.
• Proficiency with PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Google Suite).
• PMP certification is a valuable asset.
• Knowledge of 21CFR820.30 design controls.

Responsibilities

• Translate device strategy into actionable plans with TDTL & DTL.
• Drive team activities to meet project and design control deliverables.
• Maintain program milestones and link to Device Team plan.
• Apply PM best practices for planning, communication, budgeting, and risk management.
• Develop and update Design & Development Plans and contingency plans.
• Communicate project information and escalate when needed.
• Foster positive team dynamics and cross-functional collaboration.
• Facilitate decision-making and issue resolution.
• Identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Manage project scope, changes, and schedule integration.
• Monitor resources and project costs.
• Capture lessons learned and share outcomes.
