Job summary

Medair's Swiss office in Lausanne is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to ensure the effective operation of the office and the flow of supplies for country programmes and emergency responses.

The role oversees procurement, inventory, transport, equipment, and facilities management, maintaining assets and systems, while ensuring compliance with donor requirements and driving continuous improvement across supply chain operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably with Supply Chain or Business Operations.
• Minimum 5 years of proven professional experience on supply chain & logistics in cross-cultural & complex humanitarian settings.
• Minimum 1 year of line management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage supply chain operations, logistics assets and inventory at GSO Ecublens, ensuring timely, compliant and cost-effective support to Global Support Office functions, country programmes and emergency responses.
• Manage GERT inventories, emergency stocks, kits, equipment and related logistics systems, ensuring operational readiness and replenishment.
• Oversee GSO Ecublens logistics operations, including facilities, assets, warehousing and service providers.
• Support emergency responses through coordination of emergency supply chain activities and deployment logistics from GSO, including deployment when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance, MedEx support and designated business process expertise within Global Logistics.
