Job summary

Vontobel seeks a Head of Market and Counterparty Risk Control to lead risk strategy and governance. You will partner with Front Office, Finance, and Regulatory Reporting to enhance analytics, capital methods, and control frameworks across the trade lifecycle.

You will manage a senior team, drive data platform modernization, and ensure robust risk oversight in line with FRTB-SA and IRRBB requirements, collaborating with regulators and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field.
• 12+ years in Market Risk, Risk Analytics or related function.
• Proven leadership in complex financial environments.
• Deep familiarity with data architectures and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible leader on risk strategy and governance.
• Lead and mentor a risk team across asset classes.
• Drive automation and scalability of risk infrastructure and data platforms.
• Enhance risk analytics, reporting, and control frameworks with executives.
• Oversee valuation, risk, and regulatory capital methodologies.
