Job summary

Pictet Group is seeking a Group Head of Financial Risk to lead the second line of defense and oversee risk management for market, liquidity, IRRBB and counterparty risk. The role combines strategic governance with hands-on risk analysis, stress testing and reporting to senior management.

You will drive methodology improvements, advise on risk appetite and ensure regulatory alignment, while collaborating across the Group to safeguard financial soundness.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance or Science (engineering, mathematics, etc.) or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in financial risk management within banking/investment environment.
• Proven track record designing and overseeing complex risk frameworks at group or large-entity level.
• Deep technical expertise in derivative products, trading strategies, valuation and risk measurement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Group's framework, policies, methodologies and standards for Market, Liquidity, IRRBB and Counterparty Risk.
• Ensure alignment with risk appetite, objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Define and review risk appetite metrics, limits and tolerances.
• Provide independent risk expertise to senior management and governance committees.
• Drive improvements in risk methodologies, monitoring, reporting and governance practices.
• Maintain independent assessment of the Group's financial risk profile.
• Perform analyses, stress testing, thematic reviews and investigations into emerging risks.
• Challenge risk assessments and controls developed by first lines of defence.
• Review material exposures and significant changes in risk environment; escalate as needed.
• Provide independent opinions on significant transactions and initiatives.
• Oversee monitoring of market, liquidity, interest rate and counterparty risk exposures.
• Produce clear, timely risk reporting to senior management and governance bodies.
• Escalate significant risk developments and recommend mitigations.
• Support balance sheet resilience assessments.
