Job summary

Lever, Inc. seeks a Senior Architect in Switzerland to act as a fractional CTO across multiple technology businesses. You will translate business priorities into technical strategy, guide architecture decisions, and mentor engineers while maintaining a hands-on role when needed.

You will collaborate with founders and product teams to design scalable, secure solutions, and contribute to engineering practices, recruitment, and training within a highly autonomous, startup-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional software development experience with senior leadership.
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft C#/ .NET or Node.js.
• Mastery of React; Angular/Vue a plus.
• Extensive experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MariaDB).
• Strong cloud and DevOps knowledge across Azure and AWS.
• Excellent communication with founders, stakeholders, and engineers.
• Coaching and mentorship across multiple projects and teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as a fractional CTO for 2–3 technology businesses, providing leadership and direction.
• Translate business priorities into realistic technical strategies and solutions.
• Review and evolve software architecture for scalability and security.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor developers to improve engineering practices.
• Perform technical code audits for investments or new projects.
• Provide hands‑on support for complex technical challenges when needed.
• Support recruitment, training, and progression of engineering teams.
• Participate in technical interviews and stay updated on emerging frameworks.
